CRUK Shops

CRUK Shops is a brand developed in team with Lauren Richardson (LinkedIn) and Ari Wisner (website, LinkedIn, Behance). Everyone explored different aspects and uses of the brand, but below, you can check out what I’ve come up, having been helped and steered by my colleagues. You can find more CRUK work on CRUK 2019 and CRUK 2021/2022.

LOGO

The logo was one of the elements I worked on. I had to combine brand elements we had already settled on (e.g. texture, shadow) with the tag shape, which we decided to make part of the whole project. We created a couple of variants, including a tag asset, a version of the logo to be used in a few specific ways (see a few examples below).

CHANNELS

Another part of my work on the project was designing the graphics for the different channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook).

Similarly, the e-commerce platforms (e.g. ASOS, eBay) needed graphics, which had their own challenges.

TEMPLATES

I also worked on templates to both simplify the social team’s lives and to ensure the brand was respected throughout different media and platforms. An idea I had was to provide the team with a few video demonstrations of how to use the templates, since their use involved using recent Instagram features not everybody is familiar with.

The templates had to be designed to accommodate for Android and iPhone users, for post and story re-posting, having different designs but all having space to add text/content if necessary. It was a fun challenge that meant bringing all the different pieces of the brand together and flexing my creativity.

GIPHY

Lastly, I animated some of the stickers Lauren Richardson designed and uploaded them to Giphy. This way, we made them available to anybody among the Instagram stickers.

I wanted to thank Lauren and Ari for helping create this amazing brand. Also for being great colleagues and friends, hope to collaborate again soon.
